The International Conference on Economic Education and Entrepreneurship (ICEE 2017) is an academic event at the Indonesian University of Education (UPI). This conference is a joint academic activity between the Indonesian University of Education (UPI), namely the Economic Education Study Program of FPEB UPI and the Indonesian Professional Association of Economic Educators (ASPROPENDO). ICEEE 2017 is the second time the event has been held. The first ICEEE was held on July 30, 2016 at UNESA Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. ICEEE 2017 is one of 16 conferences that will be held at UPI throughout 2017.
The theme of this conference is “Economic Education and Entrepreneurship for Change”. Several paper topics contested in ICEEE 2017: a) “Teaching, learning, media, and assessment in economic education, b) Economic and finance in education, c) Teaching education, d) Economics of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and e) Research on education , economics, accounting, management, and Islamic economics.

The main objective of ICEEE 2017 is to bring together educators, scientists, researchers, students, entrepreneurs, professionals and other groups who are interested in the issue of Economics and Entrepreneurship Education to present their work in this academic pulpit. The conference provides an opportunity for delegates to exchange new ideas and experiences, to build research links and to find global partners for future collaborations.
This ICEEE activity was held on August 3, 2017 at the Grand Tjokro Hotel, Bandung. The conference was attended by academics and practitioners from various countries such as the UK, South Korea, Australia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Indonesia. Participants from Indonesia were followed by public and private universities from various provinces in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi. A total of 250 papers were submitted, while 136 papers were accepted that passed the review. The 136 papers will be presented in parallel sessions of the conference.
This conference also presented 3 speakers at the seminar session. Present as keynot speakers in the first session were Prof. Steven Cobb from the University of North Texas, USA. Then in the second seminar session, present as a speaker were Prof. Ikuro Yamamoto from Kinjo Gakuin University College Nagoya from Japan was paneled with Prof. Dr. Agus Rahayu, MP from the Indonesian University of Education. The results of the paper presented at the ICEEE 2017 agenda will be published in the Scietepress Digital Library, the proceedings which are indexed by Scopus.
According to the Chancellor of UPI, Prof. Dr. Asep Kadarohman, M.Si, When discussing economic issues, it will not be separated from conversations about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education. The idea of elaborating entrepreneurship into education has stimulated enthusiasm in recent decades. Entrepreneurship (education) teaches and trains students to have the ability and willingness to create value for others. In addition, he also builds student entrepreneurship competencies that are increasingly needed by society today, regardless of career choices in the future. (Dudi Septiadi, S.Pd., M.Si)
